This winery is one of the oldest and well established in the Hawkes Bay area and is located on the fertile flats at Meeanee, on the southern side of Napier.  The winery and cellar were built in 1936.  The winery and vineyard was taken over by Peter Robertson in 1977 who has specialised in producing a wide range of wines since then.  Some of this winery's favourites for me are its Chardonnay and Vintage Reserve Cabernet Merlot.  I was also lucky to get some of its Hillside Syrah 2002 which won gold.  If visiting Hawkes Bay  - this vineyard is a must to include on your list as the restaurant is always warm and inviting and the wines great drinking!  this vineyard is a regular addition to my cellar.
