Alana Estate's wine philosophy starts in the vineyard. In all their treatments such as pruning , fruit thinning , canopy training they respect the subtle difference of each vine. They aim to create a vineyard with complexity and sturdy vine health throughout the property.

Alana Estate carry this attitude into the winery where they endeavour to identify significantly different parcels of fruit which are kept separate and to make wines in a style that promotes its positive attributes. Once these wines are blended, they take away the knowledge of what part of the vineyard is performing and contributing more than its weight in the blend. The resulting wines from Alana demonstrate a collage of subtle complexities which are a combination of terroir, climate of the growing season, viticulture and winemaking.
